Stephen G. Lynch, CPA is the Managing Director and Founder of SapientBPO. He provides outsourcing services through global service delivery and business transformation. Steve brings more than 25 years of experience advising global companies on their service delivery strategies and has served clients in a variety of industries including oil & gas, chemicals, utilities, mining, consumer product and industrial manufacturing, and transportation.

An experienced global consultant, Steve has partnered with clients on five continents to develop and deploy the strategy that leads to superior performance.  His expertise spans the domains of outsourcing, shared services, organizational transformation, and process optimization through re-engineering and digital enablement.

Steve is an active content contributor on the topics of Finance Transformation and globalization and has presented at the IQPC Shared Services & Outsourcing conference and the CSC National Sales Conference in North America as well as the Lean Finance Forum in New Zealand.  Steve has been interviewed by The Wall Street Journal and Auckland’s AMP Business morning program on TVNZ. 

Steve started his accounting career in the audit group of Grant Thornton and served as an Accounting Manager and Controller in private industry.  When the Y2K crisis hit, he led his company’s implementation of their accounting and reporting systems and a new career was born.  Steve left industry and joined Ernst & Young’s consulting practice implementing Oracle ERP to drive efficiencies in his clients’ finance organizations.  He also served as a Director at The Hackett Group where he participated in numerous benchmark studies and transformation programs to enhance finance service delivery, improve internal controls, and reduce cost to world-class levels.  Prior to his current role, Steve was a Director in the Finance Transformation practice of KPMG and served as a Director in TCS’ globalization practice where he led large outsourcing projects managing a global workforce.
